“The Seed”

I John 3:9 says, “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” This seed is the divine nature of Jesus that is given to us when we put our trust in Him.

II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

In Ezekiel 36:26-27 Listen to what God said He would do. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.”

Wow! A new heart! A new nature! A new engine! We are a new man in Christ after His image. This is why Paul the Apostle says in Galatians 4:19 “My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you.” Christ can grow in us because His seed, His divine nature is in us! God’s word is the Diesel fuel which helps us to grow.

Ephesians 4:24 “And that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”
